San Diego Humane Society is hiring a Shelter Spay/Neuter Consult Veterinarian for our Medical team!   How you’ll impact our mission: At San Diego Humane Society, we’re united by our mission to Inspire Compassion. In 2015, animal welfare organizations in our region achieved zero euthanasia of healthy and treatable shelter pets — a commitment we have met for the past seven consecutive years. Our goal is to use the knowledge we have gained in this time to help other communities in California reduce euthanasia of healthy and treatable shelter animals by increasing their capacity to perform spay/neuter.   As a member of the team, and under the guidance of the Program Manager, this position will partner with and travel to under-resourced shelters throughout California to provide spay/neuter procedures for in-care animals and training on high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter for veterinary staff.
