Our thriving private Ophthalmology practice is a progressive, patient-centric cataract and refractive surgical practice in beautiful Palm Beach County.
We are searching for a very special, very unique, highly skilled Optometrist. We are looking for a doctor who is committed to providing a white glove, world-class patient experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an experienced or residency-trained professional who is passionate about providing the highest standard of care. The incoming Optometrist will support a phenomenal, very personable and engaging Cataract / Refractive surgeon.
The incoming Optometrist will manage cataract and refractive surgery patients, while also developing their own medical practice within the organization. As part of supporting our cataract and refractive team, a key component of the Optometrist’s role will be identifying and treating ocular surface disease.
We position our optometrists for success by providing administrative and ample exam lanes, high quality support, marketing, and access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

Clinical Responsibilities:
· Provide Comprehensive Eye Care: Diagnose and manage a diverse spectrum of ocular conditions and diseases, referring to ophthalmology as appropriate.
· Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Provide detailed pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients, including enhancements for Light Adjustable Lens patients.
· Collaborative Patient Care: Work closely with a great surgeon and surgical team to ensure continuity of care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
· Patient Education: Provide patient education on surgical options and post-operative care, ensuring they are well informed and confident in their treatment plans.
· Mentorship and Training: Contribute to the training and professional development of our ophthalmic technicians, fostering a skilled and knowledgeable team.
· Dry Eye/Surface Disease Program Development: Actively participate in the development and growth of our dry eye and ocular surface disease program.
· Optical Development: Assist in the advancement and expansion of our optical services.
Practice Development:
· Patient Base Growth: Proactively cultivate a robust patient base by delivering exceptional care and fostering high levels of patient satisfaction, leading to strong word-of-mouth referrals and patient loyalty.
· Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to raise awareness of our services. This includes actively seeking and attending community events and speaking engagements to educate the public and promote our practice.
· Professional Networking: Build and strengthen referral relationships by networking with other healthcare professionals. Act as an ambassador for our practice, ensuring our services are top-of-mind for referring physicians and specialists.
· Service and Program Innovation: Contribute to the development of new services and programs that align with the strategic goals of the Institute. Bring forward ideas and collaborate with the team to implement initiatives that enhance patient care and expand our service offerings.
Qualifications
· Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
· Licensed to practice optometry in the state of Florida.
· Experienced Doctors or Residency Trained Doctors preferred.
· Excellent clinical skills and a strong commitment to patient care.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking.
· Self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
