Job opening: Physician Associate (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Fremont Spine and Musculoskeletal Clinic is an established physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) practice seeking a Physician Associate (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). One year of experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.

In this position, you will be responsible for a diverse set of patients, from young to elderly, with acute to chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to strengthen and develop your clinical skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

This position is predominantly located in one location (Fremont, CA) with limited staffing, up to 4 days a month, at a satellite clinic (Modesto, CA).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Evaluate and determine non-operative care and interventions for a variety of musculoskeletal issues

•   Treat with medication management and interventional techniques for neck, lower back, and other orthopedic issues

•   Perform joint injections, trigger point injections, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for chronic musculoskeletal issues

•   Evaluate prescriptions for a variety of bracing applications with durable medical equipment

•   Order appropriate diagnostic tests including: imaging studies, EMG, screening tests, physical therapy, and alternative therapy

•   Learn to formulate and perform functional capacity evaluations (FCE) and work hardening programs

  COMPENSATION:

• $70-$100 per hour (competitive pay with bonus)

  QUALIFICATIONS:

•   Current PA-C or NP license (or pending license upon graduation)

•   CAPA controlled substance certification (for PA-Cs only)

•   Active DEA registration
