Outpatient, sports-medicine physical therapy clinic seeking a dynamic and athletically minded Physical Therapist.
Role involves working as a lead member of an elite level rehab team, using biomechanical/mobilization/medical strength training and muscle activation techniques to address a wide range of orthopedic problems. Our patients range from pro athletes and dancers to motivated college, high school, and active individuals wishing to reach or return to higher levels of physical function.
Individual must possess an upbeat personality and “connecting” skills and be a genuine caregiver taking pride in their work product and results. Applicant must enjoy the pace and business elements of private practice. A good candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of biomechanics and believe in its application and role in ortho/sports recovery and treatment.
The ideal candidate should want to think, not just plug patients into generic treatments. The job combines a creative element with the constant daily analysis of each patient and orthopedic condition. We are looking for a PT who has the interest, skill level and ability to manage treatment from start to finish with manual techniques, therapeutic exercise and excellent and responsive clinical judgement. We practice hands on, so have an interest in and base level of competency in manual techniques.
Most importantly, we believe in the therapeutic power of sweat, burn and fatigue. Specific, nuanced exercise is our brand and we are looking for candidates that are ready to challenge themselves and their patients to get the best possible result. We want those interested in the "why", not just the "what", as each day and each case will be looked at from a healing spectrum/progression point of view.
Beyond a passion for treating patients, candidates should also have an ability to direct, inspire and educate supportive staff for select aspects of treatment.
