The Santa Monica Eye Medical Group was founded by John E. Gilmore, M.D., an internationally renowned ophthalmologist. Dr. Gilmore and his partners, Donald Dickerson, M.D., a highly respected Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, and Kenneth Hoffer, M.D., developed the very first course in cataract intra-ocular lens surgery, and taught their techniques to hundreds of ophthalmologists around the world.

Today, the Santa Monica Eye Medical Group is led by Dr. Sadiqa Stelzner, a highly respected ophthalmologist, surgeon, teacher, philanthropist, researcher and medical scholar. She and her esteemed colleagues are passionate about offering their patients the most cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art technologies while treating them with the utmost respect as a whole person.
