Health professionals such as doctors, ophthalmologists, and optometrists will be offering their medical services to community members with the assistance of volunteers. Pamphlets and brochures will be given to the community members to help educate them on systemic and ocular diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, retinal detachment, glaucoma, and many others. This health fair is geared towards, but is not specific to, the low-income Asian communities within the Los Angeles County. Educational conferences and informational sessions on enhancing personal well-being will also be provided with health professionals as speakers. These health fairs, symposiums, and informational services will be held at, but not specific to, community centers within the local Los Angeles County. By gaining a better understanding of general systemic and ocular diseases that may afflict the community, individuals of the events may hopefully make better lifestyle choices with the goal of living a healthier life.
