As an Independent Doctor of Optometry located inside or next to a Target Optical location, you sublease space to practice optometry. Target Optical operates the dispensary, while you operate the office and perform full-scope optometry. It is your private practice; you set your own professional fees and keep the associated patient revenues for your professional services. Your nominal rent includes a furnished office, well equipped exam lanes, utilities, and an online scheduling and patient recall system.
