We are seeking a long-term full-time or part-time optometrist to work in an ophthalmology/optometry medical-surgical group practice in a major urban medical center near downtown Los Angeles.

The practice is composed of two office locations, one in Los Angeles and the other in Monterey Park, California.  The practice is comprised of two optometrists, and five ophthalmologists.

The position that we seek to fill is for our practice at White Memorial Medical Center, a facility that has been designated by Healthgrades as one of “America's 100 Best Hospitals.”

Our combined offices provide comprehensive eye care, with ten exam lanes in two locations, optical dispensaries, nearly thirty supporting personnel, with an affiliated Ambulatory Surgical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy practice with ethical doctors in a major metropolitan area.

All our ophthalmologists are board certified. Our optometrists are certified in the Therapeutic Management of Ocular Disease. Unfortunately, our optometrist at our White Memorial Medical Center office is leaving because of family health issues.

Requirements for the position include completion of an approved optometric training program and licensure in the state of California. We are seeking a well-trained optometrist who is hard-working and mature, is able to handle a busy patient load, writes legibly, has high ethical standards, and can work relatively independently.  The applicant must have superior interpersonal capabilities and communication skills.

In our offices we provide a pleasant environment where the doctors are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. Our patients are by-and-large pleasant and appreciative, and many speak Spanish as their primary language, thus the desirability of fluency in the Spanish language.
