We are seeking an experienced Medical Optometrist to join our collaborative team as an independent provider and future partner in our growing practice.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is a medically oriented optometrist with a passion for co-managing complex ocular conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataract post-ops. This position offers autonomy, partnership potential, and compensation within the 95th percentile of national benchmarks for medical optometry.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive medical eye exams and manage ocular diseases in collaboration with ophthalmologists.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for retina and cataract patients.
Build and maintain strong referral relationships with local providers.
Contribute to the growth, innovation, and clinical excellence of the practice.
Participate in clinical research or specialty services if desired.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Active California optometry license (or ability to obtain).
At least 3 years of experience in a medical or surgical co-management setting preferred.
Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in long-term partnership.
