Nationwide Vision is operated by Eyecare Partners which employs over 700 optometrists and 300 ophthalmologists throughout 18 states and is rapidly growing [Eyecare Partners has immediate openings in AZ, AL, FL, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, OH, TX, and VA]. We offer a high guaranteed salary, a substantial sign-on bonus(up to 40K), possibility of high commission, and many benefits including full coverage for license fees, DEA certificate fee, and malpractice insurance. Optometrists are allotted 7 paid holidays, 3 paid personal days, CE benefits, and several weeks of paid vacation (amount depends on seniority). We use a well-organized EMR system. Extensive pretesting is performed by a technician. Refraction and slit lamp evaluation are required. However, advanced instruments (imaging, specialty contact lenses, threshold visual fields, etc.) are available for use if desired in order to provide more complete patient care and to generate further income.  

Nationwide Vision is a great place to work because it allows you to practice optometry to the scope that you desire. There is no pressure to perform procedures/treatments that you may not be comfortable with.
