Physician Assistant Needed for Growing Pain Management Practice
Los Angeles Pain Institute, a reputable and expanding pain management practice, is currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. We specialize in providing top-quality care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain, and are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to improving the lives of our patients.
Locations: Beverly Hills, Glendale, Downey
Responsibilities:
- Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, and assess pain levels and treatment requirements.
- Collaborate with our team of pain management specialists to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including opioid analgesics and other pain relief interventions, under the supervision of the attending physician.
- Perform minor procedures, such as joint injections and trigger point injections, as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication usage, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records and ensure timely communication with patients and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in pain management.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Physician Assistant.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- At least two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a pain management setting or related field (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.
