Heritage Valley Eye Care Optometric Center is currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Optometrist to join our team. The Optometrist will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services to patients, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses.

Our locations in Santa Paula and Fillmore are idyllically set among lemon and avocado groves.  We practice full scope optometry to all ages and enjoy close relationships with local physicians and ophthalmology sub specialists in nearby Ventura, Oxnard and Camarillo.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
• Educate patients on eye care and eye health, including proper lens care and eye protection
• Work collaboratively with other eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists and opticians
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optometry

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
• State optometry license
• Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Knowledge of current industry trends and advancements in optometry
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Prior experience in a private practice setting is preferred, but not required.
