Working in collaboration with a Supervising Doctor (SD) the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for:
Interviewing patients and obtaining historical data.
Performing physical examinations to assess health status and musculoskeletal primary care / sports medicine management problems-- this includes initial patient evaluations, follow-up visits, immediate care clinics, pre-procedure physical examinations, and post-procedure follow-up visits.
Ordering diagnostic studies such as x-rays and imaging, and lab tests such as blood tests, and performing collections of samples such as urines samples and wound cultures.
Writing orders and progress notes.
Diagnosing disease and injury states.
Formulating treatment plans. To be reviewed by the SD
